INDIAN EXPLORATION

We set off on another exciting cruise, this time to the Indian sub-continent. First we fly off to Muscat, in Oman, where we settle in to our cruise ship, Minerva, and hope to catch up on sleep. It is our third trip on Minerva, which we like for its comfortable club-like ambience. It is small by cruise ship standards with about 300+ agreeable like minded fellow passengers. A particular feature is the lectures on the history, geography, culture and architecture etc. of the region through which we are cruising.
We travel, as previously, with our friends, Chris & Annie Drayson and John & Liz Reilly. Here they are on our last cruise during a gala night on Minerva. Annie, Chris, Liz and John:

After the night on Minerva, we will be taken on a city tour of Muscat. We then start the cruise proper with a two and a half day trip across the Arabian Sea; time to relax before we start the excursions in North West India. There we visit Ghandi's birthplace at Porbandar and then cruise down the west coast of India calling in at Mumbai, Mangalore, Kochi, Tuticorin and finishing at Colombo in Sri Lanka.

Clodagh then flies back home with Chris and Annie, while I fly with John and Liz up to Dehli for a six day 'Golden Triangle' tour of Delhi, Agra, where we visit the Taj Mahal, and Jaipur. We then return to Delhi from where we return home.
